About Me

Welcome! My name is Katy Shevel. I am the Associate Pastor for Congregational Life at Wayne Presbyterian Church, a vibrant congregation in Wayne, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia.

I enjoy being a dog mom, a good cup of tea, and a delightful conversation. I also adjunct teach for the Theology Department at Eastern University.

I received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Religious Studies from Wartburg College
in Wavery, lowa in 2012 and a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) from Princeton Seminary in 2015. I loved the East Coast so much, I decided to stick around! I received a call as the first female solo pastor of Fairmount Presbyterian Church in New Jersey. While serving the congregation of Fairmount, I returned to Princeton Seminary to receive my Master’s of Theology (ThM) in 2018, with an emphasis in Systematic Theology/History of Doctrine.
